In efforts to encourage inclusiveness and to educate the constituents of District 2, County Councilman Dale Miller will hold a public meeting to gather input about Cuyahoga County's proposed 5-year Economic Development Plan. The meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Lakewood Public Library at 15425 Detroit Avenue on Thursday, July 7th, from 6:30 to 8:15 PM.
Under the new Cuyahoga County Charter, the County is required to prepare a 5-year economic development plan and update it annually. A draft of the plan was presented by the County Executive to the County Council before June 1st of this year, on schedule, as prescribed by the charter. The County Council has until July 30th to consider the proposed plan and make any changes, as needed.
Councilman Miller believes that there should be as much public input into the plan as possible, and that the plan should include neighborhood approaches to economic development in addition to large scale projects.
If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to provide input regarding the proposed economic development plan, please contact Councilman Miller at 216-252-7827 or damiller@cuyahogacounty.us.
