On Tuesday, July 26th, County Council passed a five-year Economic Development Plan, as required by the County Charter. The plan gives priority to human capital development, including the improvement of education and workforce development, and the creation of high quality places that are attractive to residents and businesses. Strengthening our manufacturing base and promoting entrepreneurship and innovation and also key concepts. Important goals for the first year include reorganization of the Department of Development and creation of a $100 Economic Development Fund to help advance key economic development projects.
Councilpersons Dale Miller and Dave Greenspan sponsored a successful amendment that calls for Cuyahoga County and all communities bordering on Lake Erie to work together to help Northeast Ohio take better advantage of our lakefront.
